Did you know that New Year's Eve is the biggest night of the year for birth control accidents?
Condoms break. Pills can be forgotten - that's why this year Back Up Your Birth Control launched the Don't Drop The Ball campaign, to remind women that if you have a birth control "oops" on New Year's Eve, emergency contraception (EC) is available at the pharmacy and can help prevent pregnancy if taken within 120 hours.
Check out the funny web video that got it all started and continue to remind your friends to back up their birth control in 2010!
For more information on EC and how you can access it, click here.
Stay tuned, the 2010 Back Up Your Birth Control Day of Action will be March 24!
The Back Up Your Birth Control Campaign aims to increase awareness of and improve access to emergency contraception. This campaign is coordinated by the National Institute for Reproductive Health.
